Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg (unbeaten)
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cream of tartar into bowl.
    Add the shortening to flour mixture and blend together until of corn meal-like consistency.
    Pour milk into flour mixture slowly.
    Add the egg; stir to stiff dough.
    Knead five times; roll and cut.
    Bake on a cookie sheet at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes. These biscuits can be cut out, placed on sheet and frozen, then baked as usual as needed.
