Spongy Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening (I use oil)
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. each cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger
Preparation
    Mix all together and add last 1/2 cup boiling water.
    Bake in 11 x 7-inch pan for 35 to 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
