Hawaiian Mac-Nut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. water
1 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
2 c. Macadamia nuts, chopped
1/4 c. real butter
Preparation

Mix baking soda, vanilla and 1 teaspoon water.
Set aside. Combine water, sugar and corn syrup; heat to 275\u00b0.
Add nuts and cook until 302\u00b0 using candy thermometer.
Remove from heat, add butter and baking soda mixture and stir.
Pour onto greased cookie sheet to cool.
When cool, break into pieces.
