Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1/3 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. rolled oats
2 c. coconut
walnut halves
Preparation

Cream shortening, butter, sugar and eggs.
Mix flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
Then add first mixture.
Add oats and coconut.
Roll dough in walnut-size balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet 3 inches apart.
Top with walnut or pecan halves. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
