White Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    6 eggs
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    2/3 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 lb. candied cherries
    1 lb. candied pineapple
    1 c. coconut, grated or frozen equivalent
    1 qt. nuts
Preparation
    Reserve 1/2 cup flour to put on fruit, coconut and nuts. Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly.
    Sift flour and baking powder together; add to mixture.
    Combine floured fruit and nuts with batter and pour into large tube pan that has been well-greased (I always line bottom with wax paper).
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for about 2 hours.
