Corn And Sausage Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 large potatoes, cubed
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 c. water
    16 1/2 oz. can cream-style corn
    16 1/2 oz. can whole kernel corn (undrained)
    12 oz. can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Crumble sausage in skillet and brown; drain off fat.
    Put sausage into a deep pan.
    Return 2 tablespoons of fat to the pan and saute the onion with the sausage.
    Add the potatoes, salt, pepper, basil and water.
    Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
    Stir in creamed corn, corn and liquid and evaporated milk.
    Cover and heat almost to boiling.
    Serve with French bread and a salad.
