Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak
    1 Tbsp. dry sherry
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    4 slices peeled ginger root (1 x 1/8-inch)
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    2 medium green peppers
Preparation
    Prepare ahead:
    Cut steak in thin strips and marinate in the wine, soy sauce, sugar and cornstarch mixture.
    Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in hot skillet (30 seconds).
    Stir-fry peppers for 3 minutes; scoop out.
    Heat 3 tablespoons of oil.
    Add ginger and stir-fry for 2 minutes, then remove.
    Stir-fry meat for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Add peppers and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring.
    Serve over rice.
