Raised Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    5 lb. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    12 eggs, separated
    1 qt. sour cream or beer
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    1 cake yeast, dissolved in a little warm water
Preparation
    Cream the butter with the flour.
    Add sugar to egg yolks. Beat egg whites and add to yolks. Add sour cream or beer to egg mixture. Add salt and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Add dissolved yeast and add to flour.
    Knead well.
    Let rise overnight. Roll out and shape into nut rolls.
    Let rise again in pans.
    Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven until brown.
