Orange Butterscotches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening or 1 stick margarine
    1 3/4 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat.
    Add vanilla flavoring and mix.
    Then mix in flour and add nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
    When cool, cut in squares or long strips.
