Minted Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. light Karo (corn syrup)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    6 marshmallows
    1 tsp. essence of peppermint
    3 heaping c. pecan halves or walnuts
Preparation
    Slowly cook sugar, water, corn syrup and salt.
    Remove from heat just before syrup reaches soft ball stage.
    Add marshmallows; stir until melted.
    Add peppermint and nuts; stir with a circular motion until every nut is coated and mixture begins to look creamy.
    Empty on waxed paper; cool, then separate.
    May be stored in cans for weeks!
