Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 level tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine
    sugar, syrup and water in 4 quart saucepan and boil until
    it
    spins a hair from the spoon.
    Add raw peanuts. When peanuts
    get
    hot, they will pop and the husks will slide partially off.
    Cook until the peanuts reach a golden color or however well
    parched you like them.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla and
    soda.\tStir
    quickly
    and
    pour
    onto\ta 13 x 9 x 1/2-inch
    cookie
    sheet
    that has been greased with margarine. Let cool.
    Break into pieces.
    Store in airtight container.
