Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18 1/2 oz.) box German chocolate cake mix
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. light caramels
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 1/2 sticks (12 Tbsp.) butter or oleo
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    In a large bowl of electric mixer, prepare chocolate cake mix according to package instructions.
    Pour half the batter (reserve other half) into well-greased and floured 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Remove from oven.
