Congo Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. butter, let soften
2 1/4 c. light brown sugar (1 box)
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
2 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans
6 oz. pkg. Nestle's chocolate morsels
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Let butter soften.
Add sugar.
Beat.
Add eggs one at a time.
Add flavoring and dry ingredients (sift together).
Add chips and nuts.
Grease pan (9 x 13-inch or 10 x 14-inch).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Let cool 10 minutes.
Take out of pan and slice into finger bars.
