Cracklin' Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. white or yellow self-rising cornmeal
1/2 c. self-rising white flour
1 tsp. baking powder (level)
4 tsp. sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. bacon grease
1/2 c. cracklings
about 1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix all ingredients, except buttermilk.
Add enough buttermilk to form a pouring consistency, like cake batter.
Pour into a hot, greased iron skillet or baking pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until done, about 20 minutes.
Serves 4 to 6.
