Patio Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. frozen green peas
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/3 c. Minute rice
    3/4 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. chopped dill pickle
    1 tsp. grated onion
    1 c. slivered cooked ham
    1 c. slivered Swiss cheese
Preparation
    Add frozen peas and salt to water in saucepan.
    Cover.
    Bring quickly to a full boil.
    Then add Minute rice.
    Stir with a fork to moisten all rice; cover and remove from heat.
    Let stand 13 minutes.
    Add mayonnaise, pickle and onion, mixing with fork. Chill.
    Before serving, add ham and cheese.
    Serve on crisp lettuce with a ring of tomato wedges.
    Serves 6.
