Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    4 Tbsp. superfine sugar
    1/4 c. raisins
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 to 4 Tbsp. butter
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Lightly grease large baking sheet. Sift flour and salt.
    Rub in butter until mixture looks like bread crumbs.
    Then add sugar and raisins.
    Mix to a soft dough with milk.
    Roll out dough on lightly floured board to 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut into 1 1/2-inch rounds.
    Put on baking sheet. Brush with milk.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
    Serve with jam and tea. Makes 12.
