Brown Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. uncooked brown rice
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt (optional)
2 c. cold water
Preparation

Bring water to a boil.
Add salt.
Slowly add picked and thoroughly washed rice so that water continues to boil.
Boil rice for one minute uncovered.
Stir rice and put tight fitting lid on pot.
Simmer for 45 minutes over medium heat.
Do not remove lid until rice has cooked and saturate for 5 to 10 minutes.
Fluff up rice with a fork and serve.
Makes 3 cups.
