Polish Love Knots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 egg yolks
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. sour cream
    1 Tbsp. brandy or 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Add salt to eggs; beat until thick and lemon colored.
    Add sugar and flavoring; continue to beat.
    Add sour cream and flour alternately, mixing well after each addition.
    Knead on floured board until dough blisters.
    Cut in halves.
    Roll very thin; cut into strips about 4 inches long.
    Slit each piece in center and pull through slit.
    Fry in fat until lightly browned.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
