Sweet And Sour Pork - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean pork, cut into 2 x 1/2-inch strips
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. water
    1 chicken bouillon cube
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (20 1/2 oz.) can pineapple chunks
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 medium green pepper, cut in strips
    1/4 c. onion, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Brown
    the
    pork
    in
    hot
    shortening.
    Stir
    in water, chicken
    bouillon cube and salt.
    Cover;
    simmer about 1 hour. Drain the pineapple, reserving the syrup.
    Combine brown sugar and cornstarch
    in
    saucepan.
    Add
    reserved pineapple syrup, vinegar, soy sauce and salt.
    Cook and stir until bubbly.
    Add sauce to pork;
    mix well.
    Stir in pineapple, green pepper and onion.
    Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
    Serve over hot rice.
    Serves 6.
