Soft Pretzels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 1/2 c. lukewarm warm
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    4 c. flour
    beaten egg
    coarse salt
Preparation
    Soften the yeast in the lukewarm water. Add the salt and sugar. Add the flour and knead.
    Do not let dough rise.
    Cut into small pieces and roll in ropes (not too thick).
    Twist into pretzel shapes, like praying arms.
    Lay on foil covered cookie sheet dusted with flour. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden, about 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 3 to 6 dozen.
