Make-Ahead Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, torn in bite size pieces
    1 1/2 c. shredded carrots
    1 1/2 c. frozen peas (do not thaw)
    1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 1/2 c. purple onions, chopped
    1 1/2 c. parsley, chopped
    2 c. sour cream
    2 c. mayonnaise
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Layer first 6 ingredients in order.
    Set aside.
    Mix sour cream and mayonnaise.
    Spread over entire top.
    Sprinkle bacon bits over all.
    Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate.
    Chill 6 hours or more.
    Yields 12 to 15 servings.
