Tasty Rice And Almond Casserole - cooking recipe

2 lb. Pork sausage meat
1 large bunch Celery, chopped
2 large Onion, chopped
1 Green bell pepper, chopped
3 pkg. Lipton's Chicken noodle soup
9 c. Water
2 c. Rice
1 c. Slivered almonds
Preparation

Place the water in a large pan and bring it to a boil.
Brown the sausage and drain off excess fat. Add the celery, onions and green pepper and simmer for 10-15 minutes. When the water is boiling, pour in the rice and soup and allow it to boil gently for 15 minutes. Combine with the sausage and vegetable mixture in a large casserole dish, add the almonds and bake, covered, for 1 hour at 375\u00b0f. 190\u00b0c. gas mark 5. Uncover and bake for a further 15 minutes.
