Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. plain flour
    1 c. shortening
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1/2 to 3/4 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Sift flour and salt.
    Cut in shortening.
    Beat egg in cup and add vinegar and 1/2 cup of water.
    You may add more water if needed.
    Turn out on floured cloth.
    Knead to make smooth dough. This makes four 8-inch pie crusts or three 9-inch pie crusts.
