Meringue Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites (at room temperature)
    1/4 c. each: powdered 10x sugar and superfine granulated sugar
    1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Combine sugars.
    In a large mixing bowl, beat egg whites until foamy.
    Add cream of tartar and beat until soft peaks form.
    Add sugar mixture a tablespoon at a time while beating.
    Continue beating until stiff peaks form.
    Beat in vanilla.
    Put meringue in pastry tube or bag.
    Using a star tip, pipe meringue onto parchment paper on cookie sheet.
    Bake at 200\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Do not open oven door.
    Turn off oven.
    Allow to cool in oven 2 hours.
    Remove and serve.
