2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 c. beet liquid
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. beets
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
pepper
1/8 tsp. cloves, ground
Preparation

Melt butter; add flour and blend.
Add beet liquid and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Add brown sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper and cloves.
Stir until sugar dissolves. Add drained beets; heat thoroughly.
