Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 c. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
2 (15 1/4 to 19 oz.) cans red kidney beans, drained
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation

In 5-quart Dutch oven, over high heat, cook beef, onion and garlic, stirring often, until all pan juices evaporate.
Stir in chili powder, salt and pepper.
Cook 1 minute.
Stir in tomatoes with liquid, kidney beans and tomato sauce.
Over high heat, heat to boiling.
Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring often.
Skim fat from chili, if any.
Serves 8 and freezes well.
