Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. white corn syrup
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    3 egg whites
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Use 1 (2-quart) and 1 (1-quart) heavy pans and a candy thermometer.
    In the large pan, put 3 cups sugar, white corn syrup and 1 cup water.
    Let boil to 260\u00b0 (hard ball stage).
    In the small pan, put 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water.
    Let boil to 238\u00b0 (soft ball stage).
    Start cooking larger pan first.
