Collector'S Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. butter
2 eggs
2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/3 c. water
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar in large mixer bowl.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat 1 minute at medium speed.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add alternately with water to creamed mixture.
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8-inch or 9-inch layer pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes for 8-inch layers; 30 to 35 minutes for 9-inch layers or until cake tester comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans.
Cool completely; frost.
