Honey-Spice Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    2 c. apples, grated
    1 1/2 c. water, boiling
    1 c. honey
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/4 c. oil
    2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
    1/2 c. wheat germ
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Combine
    raisins,
    apples
    and
    boiling water in a bowl. Let stand
    for
    10 minutes, then mix in honey, salt, cinnamon, allspice,
    nutmeg,
    cloves
    and
    oil;
    set aside.
    Mix together flour, wheat germ, baking soda and walnuts.
    Combine with apple mixture.
    Pour into well greased angel cake pan ring.
    Bake for 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
    Serve plain or topped with 10x powdered sugar.
