Fresh Tomato Sauce(A Relish) - cooking recipe

15 large ripe tomatoes
3 large red sweet peppers
1 large green pepper
1 1/2 to 2 c. sugar
3 large onions
1 1/2 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Chop peppers and onions in coarse grinder or blender.
Put in colander, squeeze down to remove all juices.
Put tomatoes in hot water and peel.
Put tomatoes in colander and squeeze to remove all juices (throw all juices out).
Put all the pulp in a large pot (not aluminum).
Add sugar, vinegar and salt; simmer for 2 hours. (You can add Tabasco sauce if you like.)
Seal in tight 1/2-pint jars.
