Irish Trifle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 jelly roll cake
1 (6 oz.) pkg. raspberry gelatin
1 (5 1/2 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding or custard
3 c. milk
1 small container whipping cream
maraschino cherries or strawberries (for decorations)
2 Tbsp. sherry
Preparation

Break cake into pieces and place in trifle or decorative bowl. Sprinkle with sherry and let stand a few minutes.
Make gelatin and when it begins to set, pour over cake.
Make vanilla pudding according to directions and pour over gelatin.
Slice strawberries (or other fruit) and arrange over pudding.
Allow to chill until set.
When ready to serve, cover top with whipped cream and decorate around edges and center with fruit.
