Baked Squash Sacramento - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. steamed winter squash
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. cream
    dash of ground nutmeg
    1/4 c. chopped or diced roasted almonds
Preparation
    Mash squash; stir in butter, sugar, cream, seasonings and eggs.
    Fold in part of almonds, reserving a few for garnish.
    Pour into greased 1-quart casserole.
    Top with remaining almonds.
    Bake in 375\u00b0 (moderately hot) oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Makes 6 servings.
