Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. Gold Medal flour
1 c. dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. milk
3 eggs
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. finely chopped walnuts
butterscotch filling (see below)
chocolate chip glaze (see below)
Preparation

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour 2 round layer pans.
Using a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, shortening, milk, eggs and chocolate chips.
Blend 1 1/2 minutes on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Beat 3 minutes at high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour into prepared pans.
Bake 40-45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes our clean.
Cool. Place butterscotch filling between layers, use chocolate chip glaze to top cake and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
