Ice Water Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening (Crisco, butter or oleo) plus 3 Tbsp. shortening
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    9 Tbsp. cocoa
    3 c. cake flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. ice water
Preparation
    Cream until fluffy first three ingredients.
    Add eggs and continue beating until light and fluffy.
    Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
    Beat dry ingredients and creamed mixture alternately with 1 1/2 cups ice water.
    Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 or 50 minutes.
    Use chocolate or vanilla icing to top cake before serving.
