Beef And Beer - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil (divided)
    2 stalks celery 1-inch pieces)
    2 medium onions, sliced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 1/2 c. beer (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
    4 slices pumpernickel bread, crumbled
    3 large carrots (cut into 1-inch pieces
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In Dutch oven, brown beef in 1 tablespoon oil, remove from pan and set aside.
    In same Dutch oven, saute celery, onion and garlic in remaining 1 tablespoon oil.
    Add beef stew, beer, pumpernickel crumbs and carrots.
    Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
    Season with salt and pepper.
