Tamale Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 (16 oz.) jar thick and chunky salsa, divided
1 (8 1/2 oz.) pkg. cornbread mix
1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded cheese, divided
1/2 c. sliced black olives
Preparation

In a skillet, brown ground beef; drain.
Add 1 1/2 cups salsa; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer about 5 minutes.
In meantime, mix together cornbread mix according to package directions.
Mix in 1 cup cheese and black olives.
Pour mixture into 8 x 8-inch greased baking dish.
Spoon hamburger into center of cornbread mixture, showing on sides.
Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and top with remaining cheese and salsa and return to oven until cheese is melted.
Makes 6 servings.
