Chicken Fricassee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. fryer chicken
    salt and pepper
    1/4 lb. butter
    2 finely chopped onions
    4 ripe tomatoes
    2 tsp. paprika
    3 c. thin cream
    1/8 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cut chicken in serving pieces and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Melt the butter in large frying pan or Dutch oven.
    Add the onions and place the chicken over onions.
    Cover.
    Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
    Peel and chop tomatoes, then combine with paprika and stir lightly.
    Cook 10 minutes.
    Mix cream with soda and pour over chicken.
    Cook for another 35 minutes.
    Remove chicken, strain the sauce and pour over chicken.
