Sweet And Sour Beef Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    3/4 c. diced cooked roast beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped tomato
    1/2 c. shredded cabbage
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/3 c. chopped carrot
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. browning sauce
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 tsp. tomato sauce
    6 beef bouillon cubes
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Preparation
    In a Dutch oven, combine all ingredients except flour and oil. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
    Reduce heat.
    Simmer, uncovered, until vegetables are tender.
    Combine flour and oil until well blended; stir into the soup.
    Simmer until slightly thickened.
    Serve hot.
    Yields 8 to 10 servings.
