Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs
1 block chocolate or 3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
3 c. sifted plain flour
1/2 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift soda, chocolate and salt together.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk and water. Mix well.
Add vanilla. Stir, then bake in Bundt pan at 350\u00b0 until done. Check by straw (broom straw) for doneness.
