Oyster Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 qt. coarse white bread crumbs, loosely packed
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. rosemary
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. tarragon
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    1/4 lb. margarine
    3/4 c. finely chopped celery
    1/2 medium onion, chopped
    1 1/4 c. chopped oysters
    1 c. chicken stock or bouillon
Preparation
    Pull crumbs from crusts of 3 or 4 day old bread.
    Disregard crusts.
    Add salt, seasonings and pepper; toss.
    Melt margarine, add celery and onion.
    Saute until just softened, then stir in oysters.
    Pour over bread crumbs with chicken stock.
    Mix lightly with fork or hands.
    Put in 8 x 11 x 2-inch baking dish and cook, uncovered, in 350\u00b0 oven for one hour.
    Yields 6 servings.
