Old-Fashioned Chicken Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. butter or lard
Preparation
    Rub shortening into a part of the flour.
    Use milk to make a stiff dough (3/4 cup is sufficient).
    Shape into dumplings by rolling very thin and cut as desired or drop from spoon into chicken broth.
    If dropped, do not make dough quite so stiff. Cook for about 12 to 15 minutes slowly.
    Do not stir or remove top boiler until ready to serve.
