Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 stick oleo
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. chopped or grated unpeeled apples
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. chopped nuts
raisins if desired

Preparation

Cream sugar and oleo.
Add egg; beat well.
Combine remaining ingredients and beat well.
(It will be a stiff batter.)
Bake at 350\u00b0 about 35 minutes in a 9 x 9-inch pan.
Sprinkle with 4x sugar or good with whipped cream or ice cream.
