Orange Sherbet Party Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. cold water
    1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice
    1 (46 oz.) can orange juice
    1 c. lemon juice
    1/2 gal. orange sherbet, softened
    1 bottle chilled ginger ale
Preparation
    Combine gelatin and sugar; add boiling water.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Stir in cold water and fruit juice.
    Chill.
    Spoon sherbet into punch; add ginger ale.
    Yields about 6 1/2 quarts.
