Pete'S 5-Alarm Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground meat (beef or turkey)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    3 medium jalapeno peppers, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes (whole or chopped)
    salt and pepper to taste
    liberal amount of chili powder
Preparation
    Brown meat and drain off fat.
    In a stew pot, saute peppers, onion, garlic and jalapenos 5 minutes.
    Add meat, tomatoes, beans and bay leaf.
    Stir thoroughly.
    Add chili powder to taste. Simmer on low heat, covered, for 2 hours.
    Stir occasionally. Can be served with grated Cheddar cheese and a hard roll.
