Hot Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can peach halves
    1 (16 oz.) can pear halves
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can apricot halves
    1 (16 oz.) can pitted dark cherries, rinsed well
    2 to 3 bananas, sliced (soak in lemon juice 10 minutes)
    12 soft coconut macaroons, crumbled
    1/4 c. butter
    1/3 c. Amaretto
    sliced almonds (optional)
Preparation
    Drain all fruit well. Arrange half of the fruit in greased 9 x 13 casserole dish. Crumble 6 cookies on top. Repeat the layer. Slice butter on top and pour Amaretto over the fruit. Sprinkle almonds on top. Bake 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
