Beef Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. cut up stew meat
    6 carrots, diced
    3 medium potatoes, cut up
    1 c. diced celery
    1 c. tomatoes
    1 onion, diced
    2 c. water
    3 Tbsp. tapioca
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 slice bread, broken
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together and place in a heavy, covered casserole dish.
    Bake in a 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 oven for about 2 1/2 hours.
    Stir 2 or 3 times during baking time.
    Add more water if needed.
