Almond Turkey With Peas(Yield: 4-6 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup Slivered Almonds
    2 Tbsp. Butter or Margarine
    1/2 lb. Mushrooms, sliced
    10 oz. pkg. Frozen Peas, thawed
    1/4 lb. Fresh Pea Pods, ends and strings removed OR 6 oz. Frozen Pea Pods, thawed
    3/4 cup Chicken Broth, divided
    6 oz. Sliced Water Chestnuts, drained
    2-3 cups Cold Cooked Turkey or chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
    1/3 cup Green Onion, thinly sliced
    4 tsp. Cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
    3-4 cups Cooked Rice
Preparation
    1. Spread almonds in a shallow pan; toast in a 350\u00b0 oven until lightly browned (about 5 minutes) and set aside.
