Sweet And Sour Meatballs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
2 eggs
3/4 c. dried bread crumbs
1/2 c. club soda
1/4 c. minced onion
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. salad oil
2 green peppers, cut into pieces
2 carrots, sliced diagonally
1 (8 oz.) jar sweet gherkins, drained and cut up
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. sugar
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation

In 3-quart saucepan, cook salad oil, green peppers and carrots until tender, stirring frequently.
In Dutch oven, heat to boiling vegetables, gherkins, tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar and pineapple liquid to the meat balls.
Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes until meat balls are tender.
Mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup water. Gradually stir into mixture until thickened.
Heat.
Serves 8.
