Paula'S Meat Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    5 c. water
    4 beef bouillon cubes
    1/2 c. ketchup
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 medium onion
    2 to 3 carrots, sliced
    2 to 3 stalks celery, chopped
    1 tsp. basil
    1/3 c. pearled barley
    1 bay leaf (optional)
Preparation
    Brown ground beef and drain.
    Mix all ingredients in one soup pot.
    Simmer for 2 hours.
