Nadine'S Beet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. fork-stirred all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. corn oil (vegetable oil is okay)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 large eggs
    1 c. beets (fresh, cooked and shredded)
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
    Beat together sugar, oil and vanilla until blended. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until blended.
    Stir in flour mixture, a little at a time, until smooth.
    Stir in beets and walnuts.
    Turn into an oiled 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven until done, circa 1 hour.
    Loosen edges and turn out on a rack.
    Place cake in a plastic bag and let stand overnight at room temperature.
